Prom Attire Guidelines
  • No caps or hats are allowed.
  • No tennis shoes, chucks, or vans are allowed.
  • If dresses are questionable, they will need approval from Mr. Pena.
  • ECISD-Student Dress Code Policy will be enforced for students & guests.
  • Dress Code violations (from student or guest) will result in not being allowed to enter.
Male Students:
  • Suit-Coat/Shirt/Tie
  • Tuxedo
  • Dress shoes ONLY
Female Students: 
  • Formal Dress - must be mid-length (no shorter than above the knee) or full length.
  • NO low back or see through dresses allowed.
 
Students and Guest Information
 
  • Students and guests will check-in at entrance of the event with the EHS Staff.
  • Students must be on guest list to enter; tickets are not needed for entry.
  • Campus safety protocols and rules will be followed.
  • Students and guests shall be on their best behavior, you/we are representing Edinburg High School.
  • Students and guests are not allowed to return once they leave.
  • All guests must be under the age of 21. Guests are required to show ID when entering building for security purposes.
 
Prom King and Queen
  • Prior to Prom, Seniors nominate peers (12th Grade Students) for the EHS Prom King and Queen.
  • There are 3 King nominees and 3 Queen nominees. 
  • At Prom, Seniors will have an opportunity to cast their vote for one of the nominees.
  • Presentation and announcement of nominees and winners will be at 10:00PM.
 
Prom Pictures
  • Photographer and Photo Package Prices will be released closer to Prom.
  • Fee is paid at the time pictures are taken at Prom.
  • Pictures will be delivered to EHS and be distributed to students by the Junior Class Sponsors. 
Additional Notes
  • Dinner, dessert, and a chocolate/chamoy fountain will be provided. Inform sponsors of allergies/restrictions in advance.
  • Students must provide their own transportation to and from Prom (Carpooling is recommended).
  • No admittance before 6:30PM
  • Students being dropped off at the event must be picked up at least 15 minutes before 11PM.
  • Parents are NOT allowed at Prom. Parents may take pictures outside of the venue before the event. 
  • Students needing special accommodations to Prom must make prior arrangements with EHS Administration. 
  • Students may attend Prom only once when classified as first-time 11th or 12 Graders.
