Dean of Instruction

Prior to my position as Dean of Instruction, I served as a classroom English Language Arts teacher and ELA Department Chair.  As the department chair for over 13 years, I had the honor to support teachers in implementing best teaching practices, collaborate with teachers in other disciplines to implement cross-curricular lessons, and instill the love of reading, writing and learning to my students.  I have served the Edinburg Independent Consolidated School District, solely at Edinburg High School, for the past 28 years and I am truly humbled and proud to be a part of a district and campus team that is committed to excellence for all students in all academic programs.
